Buckle up folks, things are about to go absolutely bananas in the enthusiast CPU market! Intel is officially launching its Cascade Lake-X family of HEDT processors next week on the 7th and they’re about to drop major bombs. As with many exciting leaks, this one comes courtesy of Videocardz.
Intel Core i9 109XX Cascade Lake-X Lineup Pricing & Launch Date Leaked – Coming October 7th
Intel did not mince words when it first introduced the 10th generation of HEDT Core X processors earlier last month. Promising ground-breaking and competition shattering performance per dollar for the entirety of its upcoming lineup.
And I’m happy to report, that they have definitely come up with the aggressive pricing to back it all up. The kind of pricing we haven’t seen from the company since AMD’s Athlon was kicking ass nearly 20 years back.
The company will be dropping a new lineup which consists of four SKUs, an 18 core, a 14 core, a 12 core and a 10 core processor. All fully unlocked for overclocking, are hyperthreading enabled and feature the company’s latest Turbo Core 3.0 technology.
The new lineup is still based on the Skylake-X microarchitecture and the 14nm process, however the company has taken steps to make the 10th generation significantly more competitive in the market which include :
1- Significantly lower pricing per core vs the 9th generation Core X family.
2- Higher single and all-core turbo clock speeds vs the 9th gen family.
3- Support for Intel Performance Maximizer, 2.5G Intel i225 Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6.
